Hi All,
Started out with Prizm ll as a gift from my wife. It lacked any bells and whistles but boy did that get me hooked on MDing. Used it for a couple of months and started looking to upgrade. Bought a MXT and then really got hooked. All those adjustments on the DFX looked a little confusing at the time. If I were to change now that V machine looks tempting but it's only my second season and would like to hone my skills before I make that leap.

I went to the top, when I bought mine, I got a XLT about 7 years ago, don't know if the DFX was out when I got it, it took me a season or 600 hours to figure it out, but after 7 years I'm still learn things, I was told when I got it, I could grow with the machine, they were right

After i purchased my Whites 4DB coinmaster in 1975 i gradually worked my way up to the top of the line, over the years. I now own a Whites DFX and have so for seven years, and have done very well with it. and your right Caretaker the longer you work with your detector the more you get to know it, It's like a good bottle of wine it gets better with age.
Just recvenly purchased a new Vision 3.

My first metal detector was a Whites 6DB. I bought it in 1979. I used it for about 10 years. I have had other detectors but it was always my favorite until I bought my Excalibur 2

After renting machines every now and then, I bought a used 6000 DiPro 10 years ago and found lots of decent relics and coins. Just traded it to my brother last year. I was also able to trade a buckle that I'd found with it for a Nautilus, which in turn was just yesterday traded for another machine. Not too bad!

Hi,
I don't really do water very often; maybe once a year on vacation at the beach. I then use an MXT.

The MXT is also a real good detector.

Mine was a 4DB. Think I had it for 3 years. It had a particular hankering for walking libertys. That aint a bad thing!

Hey Kray, You have had many outdated older models. You'd do better with an up tp date model . When you want something real good, look me up & I'll give you a great deal.
